How to Care For It
Key Care Instructions for the Atlantis Oak Beanie
- Hand Wash Recommended: The best method to clean this beanie is by hand in cold or lukewarm water (30°C/86°F max) with a mild detergent.
- Avoid Excessive Heat: Never use hot water, as it can shrink or damage the fibers.
- Do Not Wring or Twist: Gently squeeze the beanie to remove excess water, rather than twisting or wringing, which can stretch the knit.
- Air Dry Flat: Lay the beanie flat on a towel to air dry, avoiding direct sunlight or direct heat sources.
- Gentle Machine Wash (Optional): If using a washing machine, place the beanie inside a mesh laundry bag, select a delicate/gentle cycle, and use cold water.
- Avoid Dryers: Do not put the beanie in a dryer, as this can cause shrinking, pilling, and damage to the material.
Tips for Maintenance
- Reshape While Damp: Gently reshape the beanie with your hands after washing to maintain its original fit.
- Remove Pilling: If the material develops small pills (lint balls) over time, use a fabric shaver or sweater comb to remove them.
- Store Flat: Store the beanie flat to prevent stretching.
