MEET THE ARTIST
I’m Brittah (pronounced: b-rit-tah), the artist behind this design and someone who truly believes the world needs more travel bs. I've been painting and drawing my whole life, but in the last few years I've traveled to all seven continents and noticed that the best part about traveling is the hidden secrets that are not highlighted on social media, but some of the worst parts of travel are also not highlighted on social media. I started painting to remember the best parts, but not to forget the worst parts of my trips too. As I told people about my experiences, I noticed most had no idea that children were hungry, countries were poor, and natural preservatives were dying, which was the inception of More Travel BS. I noticed that if more people knew about these things, they would try and help too, which would not only preserve popular destinations but ultimately make the world a better place.
The reason I'm here is because Aconcaguan believed in my art so much to bring it to life. I drew this illustration as an outlet after hiking one of Colorado's 14,000+ foot mountains and started wondering who preserved the trailheads? It was one of the busiest trails I'd ever been on and the trail had the nicest steps to the top. Although not all 14ers have the nicest trails, there are organizations like the Colorado 14er Initiative that work hard to preserve these trails for locals and tourists to enjoy. Due to this, this hat (in all its colors) donates part of the proceeds to help the Colorado 14er Initiative continue to preserve 14ers throughout the state of Colorado. If you're into independent artists, hidden destinations, travel tips, and raising awareness about things happening around the world you can find me on all the social media channels (Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok) at @wild.wallflowr. I look forward to sharing More Travel BS with you.
